One of the UK’s leading independent Museums, the River & Rowing Museum opened in 1998 to celebrate the River, the international sport of Rowing and the town of Henley on Thames. The Museum runs a broad programme of special exhibitions and activities including lectures and children’s workshops.
Henley Royal Regatta is undoubtedly the best known regatta in the world and is both one of the highlights of the summer sporting calendar and the social season. It attracts thousands of visitors over a 5 day period and spectators will be thrilled by over 200 races of an international standard, including Olympians and crews new to the event.
British Rowing Masters Championships The place where you can go out and prove you can still do it
Henley Masters Regatta has been held on the week following Henley Royal Regatta since 1994. Hosted and run by Upper Thames Rowing Club (UTRC) the regatta has grown into an internationally recognised event for masters crews. Competitors come from all over the world to compete over 1000 metres on the famous Henley reach.
Junior rowers can race in all boat classes, from 1x to 8+s. The ultimate aim of competitive junior rowers is to reach the World Junior Championships and represent their country. The World Rowing Junior Championships often launch junior athletes to future successes as under-23 and elite rowers.
The home of the 2012 Olympics. Dorney Boat Club is run by the operating charity of Dorney Lake. It is accredited with Sport England's 'Clubmark', a kite-mark for safe, effective and child-friendly' clubs. The President is Sir Matthew Pinsent, four-time Olympic Gold Medallist. Membership is open to juniors (under-18's)
The National Schools’ Regatta is the largest regatta for juniors in Great Britain. Held annually in May the three day regatta offers events for junior rowers between J14 and J18.
